Divide And Dissolve are a Melbourne based 2-piece made up of Takiaya Reed & Sylvie Nehill. An emotive crushing wall of sound "Systemic" out via Invada Records delves into the inherent systems that connect us all, advocating for a stronger system that promotes quality of life for everyone. This theme aligns with Divide And Dissolves purpose of creating music that pays homage to their ancestors and the Indigenous land, destroying white supremacy, and working towards liberation of Black and Indigenous communities. Using a unique and organic relationship between heaviness in sound and wakening anti-colonial messaging, intertwines together to create something truly beautiful to be able to witness and listen to.

Bay Area’s charmingly comedic Pardoner has just released their newest album Peace Loving People, delivering an exquisitely tongue-in-cheek critique of the trend-hopping alt-youth and evils of competitive culture. Founded by Max Freeland (guitar/vox), Trey Flanigan (guitar/vox) and River Van Den Berghe (drums) in 2015, the band eventually found their “missing piece” with the arrival of bassist Calin Burris in 2019. Despite Freeland now living in Vancouver BC, the artists spent the last two years writing their latest album, out on Bar/None Records. Pardoner is here with a vengeance, holding true to their playful and chaotic sound. Peace Loving People sounds reminiscent of ‘90s outfits like Dinosaur Jr. and The Figgs–fuzz tones and driving guitar–and lyrically questioning and mocking the kind of people who claim to be anti-establishment while keeping the capitalist machine fed by means of trendy aesthetics. Feeling like a deadbeat? Just take a pill! “But are you free?” asks Freeland in “Are You Free Tonight,” probing the concept of freedom in a society hellbent on dissociation masquerading as a good time. From narrative tracks like “Get Inside!”–a glimpse at a girl anxiously comparing herself to her aloof friend–to more conventional heartsick songs like “Rosemary’s Gone,” Pardoner has their recipe down: a pinch of ‘90s emo (think Jawbreaker), a bit of hard hitting hardcore, and a bucket of teeth-gritting sarcasm. They take a crack at US military and gun culture in “Cruel Gun,” reference the high art world in “Doberman,” and tease artists who cry for peace while glorifying cocaine, feeding consumerist culture and holding tight to toxic positivity in “Short Song” and “Love Yourself and Others.” Peace Loving People is a little ode to the hypocritical side of youth culture. It is earnest and playful, digging into cultural truths and relatable daily life alongside a mixed-genre soundtrack that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Freeland’s vocals are raw, Flanigan’s are punk, and Sinclair Riley–featured on “Deadbeat”, “Rosemary’s Gone” and “Cruel Gun”–brings a lilting dreaminess to these fast-paced anthems. Sure, it’s a cruel world out there, but why not have a little fun while it lasts? Pardoner Instagram: @pardoner.band Twitter: @pardonerbandsf

Hardcore band Knocked Loose share "Deep in The Willow" "Everything Is Quiet Now" singles & music video out via Pure Noise Records. Beginning with an eerie cinematic intro which transforms into an explosive and intense first track Deep in The Willow, which has a classic and signature hardcore sound with a call-and-response type chorus to it. Everything Is Quiet Now moves swiftly into the song featuring exciting drums and perfectly brain-scratching guitar squeals, then into emotional screaming, blast beats, and harsh breakdowns. The visuals directed by Eric Richter paired with front man & vocalist Bryan Garris work well to achieve reflecting of the succumbing and haunting lyrics, providing a thematic storyline, and insight into the minds of Knocked Loose. They will be on tour with a date in June, and all through August-October. Dates below.

San Francisco 4-piece Pardoner released their 3rd single, "Rosemary's Gone" ahead of new album "Peace Loving People" out June 23rd via Bar None Records. Channeling 90's indie sludgy-esque rambunctious rock such as Dinosaur Jr; Lead vocalist Max Freeland calls it a “melancholy love song with a little paranoia thrown in.” Featuring very danceable riffing singles, it's safe to say we are looking forward to their upcoming album. Pardoner will be on a US tour this July, dates below!

New bedroom pop and rock Los Angeles based band, wilt has just released their 4th single "moved along" out via Echo Records. A breakup song which is resilient, truthful, dreamy, but that is also dance-y. According to the band it almost didn't make the cut, the songs demo and live version circulated amongst friends and crowds, with its demand from their following being deserved! The track is sweetly reminiscent of the local LA music scene from back in the days of feel-good Spring-Summer of 2015. Be sure to keep the upcoming band, wilt on your radar.

London duo, Charlotte Spiral releases “All This Time, Asleep,” the title track of their up and coming third EP, following last year’s New Light release. Charlotte Spiral is formed by Amy Spencer and Avi Barath. The collaborating artists name stems from it's figure-skating locomotion origin.
Speaking on the single, Amy shares: “‘All This Time, Asleep’ is based on an argument between myself and a loved one. I’m being rude and just saying whatever I like, feeling like a failure, spending so much time ‘looking for myself’ or trying to figure things out. Though while I’m doing this, I forget to think how they might be feeling, and to remember that we’re two people. Throughout the track, I wanted to describe the scene we were in: ‘trying on a new shirt’ was a metaphor used to portray that I want to try this new me out, but it might not fit. At the end of the song, I am lying in the shirt, fully ready to commit and be together. It does fit me…” "All This Time, Asleep" is available on streaming services now.

Faetooth is a four piece experimental metal outfit based in Los Angeles, California. The self coined "fairy-doom" band is made up of guitarists/vocalists Ash and Ari, bassist/vocalist Jenna Garcia, and their drummer Rah. Faetooth's members being long-time friends since their youth growing up within the Los Angeles music scene created a tight-knit bond expanding how they convey instrumentally. Basing their ever evolving sound around doom metal riffs, shoegaze-esque melodies, and perfected sludgy soundscapes.
Furthering their musical presence comes brand new single, Echolalia. The tune is held near and dear to the band, as it was the first song Faetooth composed after the release of their 2019 debut EP ... An Invocation - Echolalia displays the band’s adept ability to move from thundering to somber, a dynamic that is anchored by a simple, yet haunting riff. Choruses explode with fuzzy guitars and a hard grooving bassline, carried by the singular refrain: “On thy knees now / We fall with what we build” – a reflection on the lore of the Tower of Babylon. Concluding with a growling breakdown and eviscerating lead guitar, Faetooth officially introduces their exciting new chapter announcing their upcoming full length album Remnants of The Vessel out October 28th, 2022 (Dune Altar.) Echolalia's lyric visualizer was premiered by Metal Injection and is directed, filmed, and edited by their very own guitarist Ari (@filthywitch) - available for viewing below!
